Terms of Service
Last updated: October 19, 2026
The short version. Podder uses AI to generate design images and 3D models (STL files) for you to print yourself.
The results are a starting point, not a finished product. Most prints need some cleanup.
Many functional items, like earrings, brooches, belt buckles, keychains and hanging pieces, also need extra hardware that Podder does not make.
You are responsible for how you print, finish and use what you make.
1. What Podder is
Podder (“we”, “us”) is a web app at podder.dev that turns your choices of object, shape, style and color into AI-generated images and, on request, a downloadable 3D model file. We do not print, sell or ship physical objects.
2. Your account
How we handle your data is covered in our Privacy Policy.
- You need an account to use Podder. Keep your sign-in details private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Podder, and at least 18 (or have a parent or guardian’s permission) to buy credits.
- You can delete your account at any time from Buy credits → Delete my account. Unused credits are lost when you do.
- We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, try to get around billing, or use Podder to create unlawful content.
3. Credits and payments
- Images and 3D models cost credits. Prices are shown in the app before you spend anything.
- Credits are bought through Stripe and do not expire. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.
- If a render or 3D model fails on our side, the credits for it are returned to your balance automatically.
- If a render clearly comes out wrong (not the object you picked, several objects, an item drawn into it, or a broken image), you can use Report bad render within 24 hours. An automated reviewer checks it against what you asked for and refunds the credits if it failed. You can report up to 3 renders a day; a refunded picture is removed and can’t be made into a 3D model.
- Because AI results vary, we do not refund credits for results you simply don’t like. Credit purchases are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or we make an error in charging you. If you think something went wrong, contact us.
- We may change prices or credit costs in the future; changes never affect credits you already have.
4. AI-generated results
- Every result is generated by AI and is unique. The same settings will not give the same result twice, and a result may not match the object, shape or style you picked.
- Images are concept renders. The 3D model made from an image is an approximation of it: fine details, thin parts, hidden back sides and holes may come out differently, or not at all.
- Podder designs are decorative. Unless you check and adapt a design yourself, do not rely on one to bear weight, hold water, contain heat, or protect anyone from harm.
5. Printing and finishing: what to expect
Podder models are made to be printed, but they are not tested on your printer, material or settings. Before and after printing you may need to:
- Check and repair the file in your slicer or a mesh tool (for example, fixing holes, merging parts or making walls thicker).
- Scale it to size. Models download at a generic size; set the real dimensions yourself.
- Add supports for overhangs, then remove them and sand or file the marks.
- Drill or clean out holes, such as hanging loops, perches, slots and pinholes, which may print closed or too small.
- Seal, prime or paint the print. The colors and finishes in the images are only a preview; the model file has no color.
- Glue or attach parts and hardware, as listed below.
Items that usually need extra parts
| Item | What you’ll likely need to add |
| Earrings | Ear wires, studs or posts made of a skin-safe metal, such as implant-grade titanium, niobium, or surgical stainless steel. Never put printed plastic through a piercing. |
| Brooches | A pin back (bar pin with a clasp) glued to the back. |
| Belt buckles | A metal buckle back with a prong or hook and a bar for the belt loop. Printed plastic alone is too weak to hold a belt under tension. |
| Cufflinks | Cufflink backs, such as a bullet or whale-tail toggle. |
| Pendants, chokers and anklets | A chain, cord or jump ring, plus a clasp. |
| Keychains | A metal split ring or jump ring through the loop. |
| Hair combs | Smooth, rounded teeth: sand and seal them so they don’t snag hair. |
| Rings, bangles and cuffs | Sizing to fit you; consider sanding and sealing the inside surface. |
| Tiaras and crowns | A headband, combs or elastic to keep it in place. |
| Hanging ornaments, bird feeders, birdhouses, hanging planters | Cord, wire or chain to hang them, and outdoor-rated material and sealing for anything left outside. |
| Planters and vases | Waterproofing (a sealant or a liner), since most prints leak or seep. A drainage hole drilled for live plants. |
| Picture frames | Glass or acrylic, a backing board and a stand or hanger. |
| Coin banks | A way to get coins out, such as a drilled hole with a rubber stopper. |
| Wall pockets | A keyhole slot or hanging hardware and a wall anchor. |
| Coasters | A sealed top and cork or felt pads underneath. |
| Stands and holders | Felt or rubber feet. Check it holds your device or item securely before trusting it. |
6. Safety
- Food and drink. 3D prints are generally not food safe. Their layer lines trap bacteria, and many filaments and paints are not rated for food contact. Don’t eat or drink from bowls, chalices, dishes or cups unless you use certified food-safe materials and coatings.
- Heat and flame. Most printing plastics soften, warp or burn. Use LED tea lights in votives and lanterns, not real candles. Incense holders get hot ash: print in a heat-resistant material and use them on a non-flammable surface. Never leave them unattended.
- Skin contact. For anything worn on the body, use skin-safe materials and seal or coat the print. Stop wearing it if it irritates your skin.
- Children and pets. Small prints and parts can be choking hazards. Podder figures and jewelry are not toys for young children.
- Animals and plants. For bird feeders, birdhouses and planters, use non-toxic, weather-resistant materials and finishes.
- Your printer. Follow your printer’s and filament maker’s safety instructions, including ventilation for resin and fumes.
7. What you can do with your designs
- As between you and us, you own the images and models you generate, as far as the law allows. You may print them, keep them, share them and sell physical prints made from them.
- AI output may be similar to other people’s work and may not be protected by copyright everywhere. You are responsible for making sure that what you make, share or sell does not infringe anyone else’s rights, such as trademarks, characters or logos.
- You let us store your generated results so we can show them to you. If you choose to share a design with us, we may also show it as an example of what Podder can do.
8. Acceptable use
Don’t use Podder to make anything illegal, hateful or sexually explicit, or anything designed to hurt people, such as weapons or weapon parts. Don’t try to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service.
9. No warranty
Podder is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We also make no promise that any design will print successfully, or that it will be fit for a particular purpose, safe for a particular use or free of defects.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for injury or damage caused by printing, finishing or using objects made from Podder designs. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top. If you keep using Podder after a change, you accept the new terms.
